Wimberley StoryFest returns February 17-20, 2022

This expanded four-day event features a dynamic mix of poets and authors, musicians and songwriters, dramatists, extraordinary traditional storytellers and stories that have a compelling visual component – this is story in all its forms.

We’ll capture the spirit of our charming town as a place where stories develop and where people gather to share their own stories and listen to those of others.

Choose the form of story that most appeals to you or experience them all.
Purchase your tickets today to ensure you'll have reserved seating at each event.

We're hosting each event in an iconic Wimberley venue.

Thursday Stories in Poem - Middleton Brewing
Friday Stories in Song - Old Glory Ranch
Saturday Traditional Storytellers - Choose The Emily Ann Theater or The Opera House
Sunday - The Wimberley Playhouse

We’re out to make Wimberley ‘The Story Capital of Texas’.

This is an Event You Don't Want to Miss!!!

Rave Reviews Following StoryFest 2022

‘I’m gushing over StoryFest— planning on writing a blog piece about it as I roll it over in my head and continue to relive it and share it with others. It was such a concentration of creative stimulus over such a short span that I’ve needed time to process. I can’t thank you enough for your vision and leadership to pull it off in the form it followed. Your singular vision seems like the thing to catch fire for future years’.

‘We were blown away by the quality of each session.   This was a “coming-together” of personal passions - art, artists, music, literature, photography…and networking. That’s why it was such a great event.
We are proud to have been a part of it. Thank you for the opportunity’.

’ Thank you. I am humbled and appreciative to have been a storyteller. I am so happy that people related to my mom's story.
The entire event was very special. And there were fabulous people working hard to make it so. Thank you. I would love to work with you again when you're ready’.

‘I always love events where everyone feels like they really got best end of the deal. I’m so grateful to you and your committee for inviting me! It was such a pleasure from start to finish.
Thanks for the opportunity to play for the hometown team’.

‘Thanks so much! It was an honor and a pleasure to be a part of StoryFest. I truly had a ball. It was a joy to watch the performers blossom in the limelight. And such a gift for me to be included.
Yes to the future! Just tell me when and where to show up. Please count me in any time.  Thank you for all your hard work and efforts and coordination and sweat and blood and hopefully only happy tears. So much went into this and it is recognized and fully appreciated’.

‘Thank you.  I'm extraordinarily pleased with StoryFest and my part in it.  Such a fine set of programs you put together and I can see you building on the communal enthusiasm to make it something truly extraordinary within Texas and beyond.  I love the genres you have included in the festival and could see it expanded to painters and muralists who also tell stories.  I'm sure once word gets out you'll have many more people coming next year. Looking forward to coming back myself next year if the Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise’.
